Station overlooking Lake Murray. Lots of people were heading down the trail as we were going up with the big cross. Some heading down trying not to look, many others smiled.

Stations of the cross, carrying an 8-foot cross up Cowles Mountain, 1.5 miles and 950 feet up, at sunset. March 19, 2008. A station at sunset. From here we continued carrying the cross in the dark by flashlight.

One of the last stations (the last was on top the mountain). The cross was lit by flashlight at each stop, but not enough light for good pictures with a cell phone camera.
